A good workshop should leave you more confident with your own hands, not dependent on a single glam appointment. Kay-Lee teaches practical skin prep, product choices and professional techniques for hair and makeup you can recreate at home. Sessions are paced clearly, with room for questions and guided practice rather than a rushed demonstration you only watch.
Formats include private one-on-one intensives, girls’ night in group workshops, everyday makeup and skin-prep masterclasses, bridal-party learning sessions and teen or first-formal lessons for younger clients building confidence before a big event. You can focus on makeup, hair, or a combined introduction depending on the booking.
Fully qualified and mentored by Cecilia Fourie, Kay-Lee teaches from real client experience — bridal mornings, matric farewells, photoshoots and special occasions. Demonstrations may feature trusted premium brands such as Bobbi Brown, MAC, Estée Lauder, Benefit, NARS, Fenty, Chanel and Kylie Cosmetics, with emphasis on understanding finish and placement rather than buying a fixed kit list.
Workshops can be arranged for suitable getting-ready spaces across Cape Town and surrounds. Group size, skill level and goals are confirmed when you enquire so the session stays enjoyable and useful for everyone attending.

Workshops work best when everyone knows what to bring and what success looks like for the session. Kay-Lee confirms the plan beforehand — focus areas, group size, timing and whether guests should bring their own products, use demo products, or both.
You will not be pushed into a heavy glam look if your goal is everyday polish. The teaching follows your aims: cleaner skin prep, better foundation matching habits, simple eye definition, softer evening upgrades or hair basics you can manage alone. This was the most special day for both my son and my daughter. It was Andrew's Milnerton HS Matric Dance and he chose to take his special needs sister along for the ride as in his words, she will never get to experience this in her life. I chose Kay Lee as she immediately wanted to meet chloe and make her feel.comfortable with the whole process as chloe had never worn makeup. Kay-Lee did an amazing job with my hair and make up for my Valentines Beach Wedding ♥️ She understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen! As I live in Ireland we didn't have time for a trial run so we only met on the afternoon of my big day. The wind was horrendous on the day and there was no plan B! From the moment she arrived on the morning of my wedding, she brought such a calm, comforting energy that completely put me at ease during what could have been a very overwhelming morning. I was so relaxed in her chair that I genuinely almost fell asleep! Not only is she unbelievably talented - my makeup was the best it has ever looked - but she also handled everything with such grace and professionalism. We even had a few extra people unexpectedly wanting makeup done on the day, and she didn’t stress or make it an issue for a second. She accommodated everyone so calmly and kindly. She also organised the hair artist for us, and the two of them worked together like an absolute dream team. Everything ran so smoothly, they arrived early, and somehow we even finished early, which any bride knows is almost unheard of on a wedding day - especially with extra people added in!
