A trial session for your matric dance is a great way to make sure you absolutely love your look before the big night. This relaxed and creative session, usually lasting 1.5 to 2 hours, gives us the perfect opportunity to explore ideas and build a look that feels 100% *you*.

During your trial, we will:

• Explore Your Vision: We’ll chat about your dress, any makeup or hairstyle inspo you’ve saved, and your overall vibe for the night — from soft glam to full-on drama.
• Try Out Different Looks: Together we’ll test out various makeup styles and hair ideas, experimenting with shades, shapes, and techniques to see what suits you best.
• Check for Comfort & Wearability: You’ll get to feel how everything wears and make sure it’s comfortable and durable enough to last through dancing, photos, and the whole celebration.
• Perfect the Details: We’ll fine-tune everything — from the exact eyeliner flick to the volume in your curls — so you’re 100% happy with the final result.
• Snap Reference Photos: I’ll take a few photos of the completed look to use as a guide on the day of your event.

Where does the magic happen?

Trials are usually done at my studio in beautiful Bloubergstrand, where I have all the tools, products, and lighting needed to give you the full glam experience. If you prefer, I can also come to your location — just note that a travel fee may apply, and we’ll agree on that beforehand.

Is a trial required?

Not at all — trials are totally optional for matric dances, but they’re a great way to feel confident and excited about your final look. If you’re someone who likes to plan ahead or experiment a little before deciding, this session is for you.

Absolutely! I’m happy to bring my hair and makeup services straight to your home, hotel, or getting-ready location so you can enjoy a relaxed, pampered experience before your matric dance.

Locations Within and Around Cape Town:

If you’re based in the greater Cape Town area, there’s no travel fee. I want your experience to be easy, convenient, and stress-free — and that includes coming to you at no extra cost within this region.

Locations Outside of Cape Town (Within the Western Cape):

If you’re getting ready somewhere outside of Cape Town but still within the Western Cape, a travel fee will apply. This is based on the distance from my studio in Bloubergstrand and will be clearly outlined in your quote. No surprises!

Long-Distance Travel:

For locations more than 200 km from Bloubergstrand, overnight accommodation may be required to ensure I’m fresh and ready for your glam session. If that’s the case, I’ll include those costs in your quote and discuss everything with you upfront.
